“For Chris and Rose, art has always been an extension of their relationship [as mother and daughter]. Years of shaping one another’s lives have also meant shaping one another’s work—through conversations about process, exchanging feedback, or simply noticing the details of daily life together. Decorative patterns call to mind the quilts they’ve sewn side by side; illustrated books from Rose’s childhood resurface in shared memory; even a drive through the countryside can spark a question that lingers: How would you mix the color of that sky? Though their work may appear very different at first glance, the exhibition explores how these shared influences reemerge when placed together. Prints, paintings, and ceramics take influence from each other through shared motifs and color palettes, creating a sense of intimacy and connection...
